Fun classes for younger yogis that encourage body confidence, self esteem, and coordination with opportunities to connect with others and take home tips. Fortnightly 45 min classes for ages 5+. Discounts for siblings. Yoga for children has many benefits that include: • improved attention and focus • reduced stress and anxiety • improved strength and coordination • assists with self-regulation and self-confidence • can improve sleep and energy levels • teaches relaxation skills • and is a FUN opportunity to connect with others. Kids Yoga classes will include a variety of yoga games, stories, energising and calming routines, themed activities, and breath exercises. Yoga mats, bolsters and Yoga straps are provided, but you may bring your own if you wish. What to bring: * Bottle of water * Workout handtowel * Small throw blanket (if they would like to cuddle up at the end) NOTE: A parent or guardian is required to be present either in our tearoom or carpark ABOUT OUR TEACHER: Melina offers classes with emphasis on the breath and mindful movements. She enjoys offering a range of options and styles to ensure classes are inclusive. She began her yoga journey many decades ago in her 20s and has returned to the practice throughout the years to find much appreciated moments of calm. In recent years she has realized that life is simply better when she takes the time for regular practice. In 2022 she embarked on an enlightening year completing her 500 hours of yoga teacher training in traditional hatha, kriya and tantra yoga. Since then, she has completed additional trainings in: • Restorative Yoga • Children's Yoga • Yoga for Menopause Wellbeing • Chair Yoga She enjoys sharing yoga in both a class setting and private sessions and loves to practice outdoors honouring the five elements.
